Tell the admin which group you want — or your city and topic — and ask for the current entry fee and any conditions. - Confirm payment, get your invite
Once your payment is confirmed, the admin adds you to the group.
Membership in every group is paid. Fees vary by community — its topic, its size and how much moderation it needs — so the admin quotes the current price for the group you choose. WeChat is not one app among several in China — it is where daily life happens. Almost nothing useful gets posted on the open web; it circulates in group chats. That is why a good group is worth more than a search engine here.

Landlords and outgoing tenants post rooms and apartments in the group hours before an agent ever lists them, and usually without the one-month agency fee. Is joining a WeChat group free?
No. Every group listed here is private, and membership is paid. Entry fees vary by group, depending on its category, its size and how much moderation it needs. The fee is what keeps the groups useful: every member is checked by the admin, and spammers, scammers and bots rarely pay to get in — so the chat stays active and worth reading.
How do I find out the price to join?
Add the admin on WeChat — scan the QR code on the contacts page or search Registration-China — tell them which group you want, and ask for the current entry fee. Prices are quoted per group and can change as a group grows, so the admin always confirms the up-to-date figure before you pay. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Want several groups? Name them all in one message and you will get every price in one reply.
What happens after I pay?
Once the admin confirms your payment, you are added to the group or sent an invite directly. Read the group rules before you post — they apply from day one, and breaking them can get you removed.
Why do I have to add the admin instead of scanning a group QR code?
WeChat group QR codes expire after seven days and stop working once a group passes 200 members. Admission through the admin is also how entry fees are confirmed and how spammers and scammers are kept out, which is what makes these groups worth being in.
Can I list my own WeChat group here?
Yes, if it is active and well moderated. We accept applications from group owners and admins who want to list or advertise their WeChat groups in our directory. Can I advertise my business in a group?
Members may share offers that clearly match a group’s topic — a shipping agent in a wholesale group, for example. Anything beyond that, such as a pinned announcement, a sponsored post or a featured spot on this site, is a paid placement arranged through the admin; ask for the current advertising packages. Off-topic adverts posted without approval get you removed.
Do I need to speak Chinese?
No. These groups are run in English for expats, students and people doing business with China. Chinese members are welcome too, and many chats are bilingual.
Do I have to live in China to join?
No. Business, trade and sourcing groups are full of members who buy from China without living there. City groups are most useful if you already live in that city or are moving to it.
My city is not listed yet — what should I do?
Message the admin through the contacts page. New cities are added regularly, and the admin can often point you to the nearest active group in the meantime.
